Create, organize, and delete folders

Folders are available to keep your Vault well-organized. You can put your items into separate folders according to their type: Passwords, Secure Notes, Cards, Personal Information and Crypto Backups, or any category.

On Web Vault or Desktop app

Create a Folder

  1. Sign in to your web vault. You will be directed to the Inventory tab.
  1. Click the Add new button, then choose Folder at the dropdown list.
  1. Enter the folder name.
  1. Click Add. You can see your folder by clicking the button View in folder.

Move Items to a Folder

  1. Click the three-dot button in the Actions column of an item.
  1. From the drop-down menu click Move to a folder.
  1. In the Select a folder box, browse to select an existing folder or click Add folder to create a new one.
  1. Click Update. Then you can see your item in the chosen folder.

Tips: You can select multiple items by hovering on the icon next to the item name and ticking the checkbox that appears on the screen.

Rename a Folder

  1. In the Inventory page, click View in folder to see all folders.
  1. Click the three-dot menu of the folder you want to rename.
  1. Select Rename.
  1. Change the folder name.
  1. Click Update.

Delete a Folder

  1. In the Inventory page, click View in folder to see all folders.
  1. Click the three-dot menu of the folder you want to rename.
  1. Select Delete.
  1. Select OK to confirm to delete the folder.

Note: When you delete a folder, all items in that folder will be moved into Trash.

On Mobile device

Create a Folder

  1. Open Locker on your device.
  1. Tap Browse > Folders.
  1. Tap the Plus icon at the top-right corner.
  1. Enter the folder name.
  1. Tap Create.

Move Items to a Folder

  1. On the Home screen, tap the item you want to move into folders.
  1. Tap Move to Folder.
  1. Tap an existing folder or create a new folder by tapping New Folder.
  1. Tap Save.

Rename a Folder

  1. On the Browse screen, tap Folders.
  1. Tap the three-dot button next to a folder.
  1. Tap Rename.
  1. Enter a new folder name that has not existed in the vault.
  1. Tap Save.

Delete a Folder

  1. On the Browse screen, tap Folders.
  1. Tap the three-dot button next to a folder.
  1. Tap Delete.
  1. Tap OK to confirm to delete the folder. All items in the folder will be moved to Trash.

On Extension

Create a folder

  1. Log in to your Locker account on Extension.
  1. Click the Folder tab, then click the Plus icon next to the search bar.
  1. Enter the folder name.
  1. Click Add.

Move Items to a Folder

  1. Log in to your Locker account on Extension.
  1. At the item you would like to move to a folder, click the three-dot button next to that item > Click Edit.
  1. On the Editing form, scroll to the Select a folder dropdown. Then choose a folder from the dropdown.
  1. Click Save to add the item to the chosen folder.

You can also create a new item from any folder. Open a folder and click the Plus button to open the New item form.

Rename a Folder

  1. Log in to your Locker account on Extension.
  1. Click the Folder tab, then hover over the 3-dot icon of the item you want to rename > Click Rename.
  1. Enter a new folder name that has not existed in the vault.
  1. Tap Update.

Delete a Folder

  1. Log in to your Locker account on Extension.
  1. Click the Folder tab, then hover over the 3-dot icon of the item you want to rename > Click Delete.
  1. Tap OK to confirm to delete the folder. All items in the folder will be moved to Trash.
