# Autofill logins on iOS

> Autofill is the key feature that helps you enjoy a safe and seamless internet experience. Once you save any login credentials, Locker will automatically detect the corresponding website or app and fill in your login information.

Autofill is the key feature that helps you enjoy a safe and seamless internet experience. Once you save any login credentials, Locker will automatically detect the corresponding website or app and fill in your login information.

The instructions below are for Apple devices running iOS 15 or later.

## Enable Autofill

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Password Settings">
    On your iOS device, go to **Settings** > **Passwords**. If prompted, you will need to verify your identity using PIN, Touch ID, or Face ID to access Passwords.

  <Step title="Open Password Options">
    Tap **Password Options**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable Autofill">
    Turn on **AutoFill Passwords**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Locker">
    Tap **Locker** to enable Locker autofill.
  </Step>

<Note>
  You should deselect Keychain and any other Autofill services in the list before proceeding.
</Note>

You are now ready to use autofill with Locker.

## Use Autofill

Once Autofill is enabled, Locker will help you quickly log into supported websites and apps by filling in your matching login credentials.

### Autofill passwords

<Steps>
  <Step title="Log into Locker">
    Log into Locker on your iOS device.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open an app or website">
    Open any app or website for which you have saved login credentials.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select login credentials">
    Tap anywhere in the login field, then select the login credentials suggested on the keyboard.

      You can tap the **Key** icon on the keyboard to open Locker and select a different set of login credentials.
    </Note>

  <Step title="Verify">
    You will be prompted to verify your login credentials in Locker using PIN, Face ID, Touch ID, or Master Password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete login">
    Locker will autofill the password. You just need to complete the login process to sign into your account.

### Save a new item and fill

If you do not see any available passwords to fill for an app or website, you can create a new item directly from the Autofill screen without opening Locker.

  <Step title="Open an app or website">
    Open any app or website where you want to save login credentials, and navigate to the sign-up or login screen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tap the input field">
    Tap anywhere in the input field, and you may see the **Locker Password Manager** option appear on the keyboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Unlock Locker">
    Tap to open the Locker app popup and enter your Master Password or authenticate with Face/Fingerprint to unlock Locker.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a new item">
    On the Autofill screen that appears, tap the **Plus** icon in the top right corner.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Fill and save">
    Enter the email/username and password and tap the **Save and autofill** button.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Done">
    You will see the newly created item filled into the app or website.
