# Fill crypto backups

> If you have saved your cryptocurrency backups in Locker, you can use them to access, back up, or restore your wallet easily.

If you have saved your cryptocurrency backups in Locker, you can use them to access, back up, or restore your wallet easily on any device or browser.

## On browsers and desktop apps

Any wallet requires you to enter the seed phrase associated with your wallet to back up and restore it.

For example, you will be asked to enter the backup seed phrase the first time you access your Exodus wallet on a new browser.

Follow the steps to retrieve and fill the seed phrase from Locker into your wallet:

    Log into the Locker extension or web app, find and open the cryptocurrency backup that you have saved in Locker.

  <Step title="Copy the seed phrase">
    Click the **Copy** button next to the cryptocurrency backup > select **Copy seed phrase**.

  <Step title="Paste into the wallet">
    On the wallet extension or desktop app, click the first field of the seed phrase > right-click and select **Paste**, or press **Ctrl+V** to paste the phrase into all fields.

  <Step title="Restore the wallet">
    Click **Restore** to restore your wallet.

  Some wallets may also require you to set a password. You can use the **Password Generator** tool in Locker to create a strong password for your wallet.

## On mobile devices

When accessing your wallet on a mobile device, you can copy the seed phrase associated with the wallet saved in Locker to gain access.

  <Step title="Open the backup in Locker">
    Log into the Locker mobile app, browse your Vault, and tap the cryptocurrency backup that you have saved in Locker.

  <Step title="Copy the seed phrase">
    Select **Copy seed phrase / recovery phrase**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste into the wallet">
    On the wallet app, tap the **Restore wallet** section. Tap or click the first field of the seed phrase > select the **Paste** option to paste the phrase into all fields.

  <Step title="Restore the wallet">
    Tap **Restore** to restore your wallet.
