# Move to Locker from Another Authenticator App

> You can switch from any two-factor authentication code app to Locker Authenticator.

You can switch from any two-factor authentication code app to Locker Authenticator.

## Import OTPs from Google Authenticator

If you are using Google Authenticator, you can quickly transfer all your authentication OTP codes to Locker.

### From the Google Authenticator mobile app

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Google Authenticator">
    Open your Google Authenticator app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Export accounts">
    Tap the three-dot menu icon > **Transfer accounts** > **Export accounts**. Verify with your phone PIN or biometric methods.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select OTPs to export">
    You will see your list of OTPs. You can choose which ones to export by selecting/deselecting them. Tap **Next**, and a QR code will be generated.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Locker on another device">
    Open the Locker app on a different device.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Scan the QR code">
    Tap the **OTP** tab, then tap the **Plus** icon in the top-right corner. Tap **Scan QR Code**.

  <Step title="Import OTPs">
    Point your device's camera at the QR code. Locker will automatically scan the QR code and import the 2FA codes from Google Authenticator into your Vault.

### From the Google Authenticator browser extension

On the Google Authenticator browser extension, you can only import your OTPs one at a time.

    Open Google Authenticator on your browser extension.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Display the QR code">
    Hover over the OTP you want to import into Locker and click the QR code icon next to the 2FA code. A QR code will appear.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Locker">
    Open the Locker app on a different device.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Scan the QR code">
    Tap the **OTP** tab, then tap the **Plus** icon in the top-right corner. Tap **Scan QR Code**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import OTP">
    Point your device's camera at the QR code. Locker will automatically scan the QR code and import the OTP from Google Authenticator into your Vault. You can repeat this process to import all OTPs from the Google Authenticator extension.

## Switch to Locker from Authy

The Authy app does not allow importing or exporting 2FA codes. If you want to transfer your 2FA codes from Authy to Locker, follow the instructions below:

    Sign in to any online account using your existing 2FA code from Authy.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Disable 2FA">
    Disable 2FA on the website or app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Re-enable 2FA">
    Re-enable 2FA on the website or app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Scan the QR code with Locker">
    Use the Locker app on your phone to scan the QR code or manually enter the setup key provided on the website.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Enter the code generated by Locker into the website or app.
