# Import data from 1Password to Locker

> Follow the below steps to export passwords from 1Password and import into Locker. 1Password exports data in .1pux, .1pif, and .csv files depending on your operating system and client version.

Follow the below steps to export passwords from 1Password and import into Locker.

## Export from 1Password

### 1Password 8

    Unlock the 1Password 8 app on your computer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Export">
    Click the three-dot icon at the top of the sidebar, choose **Export**, and select the account you want to export.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter account password">
    Enter your account password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose CSV format">
    Choose the export format as **CSV** and click **Export Data**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the file">
    Choose where you want to export your 1Password data and click **Open**.

<Note>
  Locker currently supports the CSV file format only. The CSV format will export only your usernames and passwords.

### 1Password 7

<Steps>
  <Step title="Unlock 1Password 7">
    Open and unlock the 1Password 7 app on your computer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select items">
    Select the items you want to export from your vault. Press `Ctrl/Cmd + A` to select all, or hold `Ctrl/Cmd` to select multiple items.

  <Step title="Export">
    Right-click the selected item(s) and choose **Export**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter account password">
    Enter your account password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose format and location">
    Choose where you want to export your 1Password data and select an export format (CSV or TXT).

  <Step title="Save the file">
    Enter a filename and click **Save**.

## Import to Locker

### Web Vault

  <Step title="Open Locker">
    Open Locker on your browser.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Navigate to Import/Export">
    Select **Settings** > **Import/Export**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Scroll to Import section">
    Scroll down to the **Import** section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select format">
    Select the format of the import file from the drop-down menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload the file">
    Click **Choose File** and upload the import file on your device, or paste the import file contents in the blank section below.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import">
    Click **Import**.
  </Step>

Your login credentials have been successfully imported from 1Password to the Locker vault.

### Mobile Devices

  <Step title="Open Locker app">
    Open the Locker app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Navigate to Import Data">
    Tap **Menu** > **Settings** > **Import Data**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select format">
    Tap **Format** to select the right format of your import file.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select file">
    Tap **Select File** to upload the import file to the system.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import">
    Tap **Import Data**.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  After successful import, you should delete the data export file in your local storage to ensure your data is safe in case your computer or phone is compromised.

## Remove 1Password from your browser

After you've imported your data, you're ready to use Locker to manage your digital vault. Make sure to turn off or remove apps and extensions for any other password managers in the browsers that you use.
