# Import data from LastPass to Locker

> Follow the below steps to export passwords from LastPass and import them into Locker.

## Export from LastPass

You can export LastPass data from the web vault or extension.

### Web Vault

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sign in to the LastPass web vault">
    Sign in to the LastPass web vault.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Advanced Options">
    Click **Advanced Options** on the left sidebar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Export">
    Select **Export** in the **Manage Your Vault** section. LastPass will send you an email to confirm that you want to export your passwords.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the export">
    Check your inbox and confirm the export.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Export again">
    Return to the LastPass web vault and select **Export** again to proceed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the file">
    Your data will be either automatically downloaded as a `.csv` file or printed on the screen in a `.csv` format. In the second case, you need to copy and paste the data into a new `export.csv` file.

### Extension

  <Step title="Open the LastPass extension">
    Tap the LastPass extension icon to open the menu.

  <Step title="Navigate to Export">
    Click **Account Options** > **Export** > **LastPass CSV File**.

  <Step title="Enter master password">
    You will be prompted to enter the master password to confirm the export.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the file">
    Your data will be either automatically downloaded as a `.csv` file or printed on the screen in a `.csv` format. In the second case, you need to copy and paste the data into a new `export.csv` file.

## Import to Locker

### Web Vault

    Open Locker on your browser.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Navigate to Import/Export">
    Select **Settings** > **Import/Export**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Scroll to Import section">
    Scroll down to the **Import** section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select format">
    Select the format of the import file from the drop-down menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload the file">
    Click **Choose File** and upload the import file on your device, or paste the import file contents in the blank section below.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import">
    Click **Import**.
  </Step>

Your login credentials have been successfully imported from LastPass to the Locker vault.

### Mobile Devices

  <Step title="Open Locker app">
    Open the Locker app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Navigate to Import Data">
    Tap **Menu** > **Settings** > **Import Data**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select format">
    Tap **Format** to select the right format of your import file.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select file">
    Tap **Select File** to upload the import file to the system.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import">
    Tap **Import Data**.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  After successful import, you should delete the data export file in your local storage to ensure your data is safe in case your computer or phone is compromised.

## Remove LastPass from your browser

After you've imported your data, you're ready to use Locker to manage your digital vault. Make sure to turn off or remove apps and extensions for any other password managers in the browsers that you use.
