# Share data with groups

> Learn how to share passwords and folders with user groups in Locker for Business.

Sharing data with groups is more efficient than sharing with individuals one at a time.

## Share an item with a group

<Steps>
  <Step title="Select the item to share">
    In the **Vault**, click the **Share** button next to the item you want to share.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select a group">
    In the sharing dialog, select the **Groups** tab and choose the group you want to share with.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set permissions">
    Choose the access level:

    * **View only:** Group members can only view and copy the password.
    * **Edit:** Group members can edit the item.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Share">
    Click **Share** to finish.
  </Step>

## Share a folder with a group

You can also share an entire folder with a group. All items in the folder will be shared at once.

Click the **Share** icon next to the folder → select a group → set permissions → **Share**.

## Benefits

* **Save time:** Share once with the entire group instead of individually.
* **Centralized management:** When you add or remove members from a group, access permissions are automatically updated.
* **Easy oversight:** Quickly see which groups have access to which data.
