Add backup security keys

You can add backup security keys for passwordless unlock to Locker in case you lose your primary key. You can add up to 3 backup keys.

Add backup security keys

  1. Log in to your Locker account on the desktop app or web app.
  1. In the left navigation bar, click on Settings, then select Security.
  1. In the Passwordless Login section, click on the section name to expand the section.
  1. Click the Add new key button in this section.
  1. Connect a new security key that you want to add as a backup key to the computer (via USB or using BLE).
  1. Select the connected key and click the Continue button. (If you don't see the key appear on the screen, you can click the Reload list button).
  1. Scan your fingerprint, or enter the key’s PIN code to authenticate. Note: You need to authenticate your key twice.
  1. You will see a notification that the key has been added successfully; and the newly added key appears in the list of backup keys.

Delete the backup security key

  1. Log in to your Locker account on the desktop app or web app.
  1. In the left navigation bar, click on Settings, then select Security.
  1. In the Passwordless Login section, click on the section name to expand the section.
  1. You will see the added backup keys appear in the list. Click the Delete button corresponding to the key you want to delete.
  1. In the pop-up window that appears, click the Delete button to confirm deletion of the backup security key.
  1. The key will be removed from the list, and you will not be able to log in to your Locker account with this key.
