In Locker, a security key can be used to replace a Master Password. Using a security key to sign in eliminates the need for users to remember Master Password and prevent password-related risks (such as phishing).
This unlock method is currently available on the Locker Web app and Desktop app.

To unlock your Vault with a security key, you need to install the Locker Desktop app.
Download the Desktop app.
Add a security key
On the Desktop app
Log in to your Locker account on the desktop app.
In the left navigation bar, click Settings >Security. Then on Unlock methods section, click on the section name to expand the section.
Scroll to the Security keys section, click the Add new key button.
Connect a new security key that you want to add as a backup key to the computer (via USB or using BLE).
On the popup appearing, select the connected key and click the Continue button. (If you don't see the key appear on the screen, you can click the Reload list button).
Scan your fingerprint, or enter the key’s PIN code to authenticate. Note:You have to authenticate your key twice.
You will see a notification that the key has been added successfully; and the newly added key appears in the list of backup keys.
On the Web app
Log in to your Locker account on the web app.
In the left navigation bar, click Settings >Security. Then on Unlock methods section, click on the section name to expand the section.
On the Security keys section, click the Add new key button.
You are required to open the desktop app. On the popup appearing, click the Open desktop app button.
The desktop app and web app display the same 6-digit OTP code, asking you to confirm to continue. Click the Confirm button on the desktop app, then click the Confirm button on the web app.

Unlock vault using a security key
On the desktop app
Open the Locker desktop app, and connect the hardware security key to the computer using the USB or BLE port.
On the login screen, enter Email and password and click the Log in button.
You will be navigated to the Unlock screen. Choose the unlock method as Your security key.
In the device list, select your key and click the Continue button.
Scan your fingerprint, or enter your device's PIN to authenticate. Note: If you’ve added 2 or more keys, you will need to authenticate with your key twice.
Successfully unlocking, you will be navigated to your Locker vault.
On the web app
Open Locker's login page in the web browser, and connect your security key to the computer using USB or BLE port.
On the login screen, enter Email and password (or passkey) and click the Log in button.
You will be navigated to the Unlock screen. Choose the unlock method as Your security key.
The browser requires opening the desktop app to continue. Click the Open desktop app button.
The desktop app and web app display the same 6-digit OTP code, asking you to confirm to continue unlocking.
Click the Confirm button on the desktop app, then click the Confirm button on the web app.
The web app displays the list of security keys. Select your key and click the Continue button.
Scan your fingerprint, or enter your key's PIN for authentication. Note: If you’ve added 2 or more keys, you will need to authenticate with your key twice.
Successfully unlocking, you will be navigated to your Locker vault.
Delete a security key
Log in to your Locker account on the Locker Desktop app or Web app.
In the left navigation bar, click on Settings, then select Security. Then on Unlock methods section, click on the section name to expand the section.
Scroll to the Security keys section and expand this section. You will see the added keys appear in the list.
Click the Delete button corresponding to the key you want to delete.
In the pop-up window that appears, click the Delete button to confirm deletion of the security key.
The key will be removed from the list, and you will not be able to unlock your Vault with this key.
