Autofill logins on Android
Auto-fill is the key feature to help you enjoy a secure and seamless internet experience. Once you save any login, Locker will automatically detect the Vault item linked to that service and fill out the credentials for you.
Auto-fill on Android is available on devices running Android 8+.
Enable Auto-fill
Enable autofill service on your Android devices
- Open the Locker app on your Android device.
- Tap Menu > Settings > Auto-fill Service.
- Click the Open settings button. You will be navigated to the Settings app and see a list of Autofill service providers.
- Select Locker from the list. A small window will pop up to confirm you trust Locker. Tap OK.
You have enabled Locker auto-fill service on your Android.
Enable autofill on Xiaomi devices
Locker needs additional permission to properly work on your Xiaomi phone.
To allow Locker to autofill credentials on Xiaomi:
- Open MIUI Security app Settings.
- Select Permissions > Auto-start.
- Tap Locker.
In addition, you will need permit Locker to display pop-up windows.
- Open MIUI Security app Settings.
- Tap Apps > Manage apps.
- Scroll to find Locker app on the list and tap on it > Other permissions.
- Toggle the setting Display pop-up windows while running in the background.
Now you have enabled Locker Auto-fill service on you Xiaomi devices.
Use Auto-fill
Once Autofill is enabled, Locker will help you seamlessly log in to supported websites and apps by populating your matching login credentials.
Autofill items
- Open any app or website that you have saved credentials, and navigate to the login page.
- Tap anywhere within the login field, and you can see the Locker Password Manager option appearing on the keyboard.
- Click to open the Locker app popup, and enter your Master password or use Face/Fingerprint recognition to unlock Locker.
- Tap on the matching credentials to auto-fill to access that app or website.
Save new items and fill
If you don't see any item to autofill on any app or website, you are able to create a new item right from the Autofill menu without having to open Locker.
- Open any app or website you want to save an account for, and navigate to the registration or login page.
- Tap anywhere within the input field, and you can see the Locker Password Manager option appearing on the keyboard.
- Click to open the Locker app popup, and enter your Master password or use Face/Fingerprint recognition to unlock Locker.
- On the Autofill screen, click the Plus icon on the top right of the screen.
- Enter the email/username and password for the new login, then click Save.
- You will see the new login appear on the login list. Tap the item to fill it on the app or website.
