Billing Policy for Personal

The Personal plan of Locker Secrets Manager requires monthly upfront payment based on project and secrets usage within a workspace.
Billing is conducted on a per-workspace basis. For example, if you own 2 workspaces, you will be invoiced separately for each billing cycle of each workspace.
The first billing cycle starts when you create your first paid project (you will have 01 free project), or when you first import a number of projects into your workspace (you will be charged immediately). After that, billing will occur monthly, starting from the next month on the same day as the first month’s invoice date. There are 2 types of invoices, reflecting 2 points in time when you are charged for using Locker Secrets Manager.

When creating a project or importing projects

If you create or import new projects, you will be charged immediately for the usage of the project(s) and secrets in that cycle. The cost will be prorated based on the number of days remaining in the current billing cycle. When creating a new project, you will initially select the number of secrets to be stored in that project for the first billing cycle of this project. When importing projects, the total number of projects and secrets will be calculated. Below are examples of creating a new project or importing projects: Creating a project: On day 12 of a billing cycle (30-day cycle) of a workspace, the Admin purchases a new project and pre-selects 50 secrets to store in that project. The cost for this project in the current cycle is:
($3 x 01 project) + ($0.1 x 50 secrets) / 30 x 18 (days remaining until end of cycle) = $4.8 (USD)
Importing a number of projects: On day 16 of the billing cycle (30-day cycle) of a workspace, the Admin imports a file containing 4 projects and a total of 150 secrets into Locker. The cost for these projects in the current cycle is:
($3 x 04 projects) + ($0.1 x 150 secrets) / 30 x 14 (days remaining until end of cycle) = $12.6 (USD)

Monthly recurring billing

At the start of a new billing cycle, you will be charged for the number of projects and secrets currently in each project. This can lead to 2 possible scenarios: In the previous billing cycle, if you created fewer secrets than the initial amount you paid for in a project, or you deleted some projects or secrets, then from the next cycle onwards, you will only be charged for the number of projects and secrets currently stored. In the previous billing cycle, if you created more secrets than the initial amount you paid for, then from the next cycle onwards, you will be charged for the actual number of secrets stored in the project. Additionally, the invoice will include additional charges for the excess secrets created beyond the pre-purchased capacity in the previous cycle (which you have not yet paid for). Below are examples of the 2 scenarios: Scenario 1: In the first billing cycle of a workspace, the Admin initially purchases 1 project and 30 secrets. By the end of the first cycle, 25 secrets have been created. In the second cycle (30-day cycle), the cost is:
($3 x 01 project) + ($0.1 x 25 secrets) = $5.5 (USD)
Scenario 2: In the first billing cycle of a workspace, the Admin initially purchases 1 project and 30 secrets. By the end of the first cycle, project users have created a total of 45 secrets. In the second cycle (30-day cycle), the cost is:
($3 x 01 project) + ($0.1 x 45 secrets) + ($0.1 x 15 unpaid secrets from cycle 1) = $9 (USD)
