Master Password

The Master Password is a critical secret component in Locker’s Two-secret Key Derivation process, and is the only piece of data the user needs to remember for use in the encryption and decryption of data. We recommend that users use a strong Master Password to ensure safety and resist common password attack methods (such as brute-force attacks) through supercomputers. Locker includes a built-in password strength meter that evaluates and displays warnings to users about the Master Password they are creating (a password string including lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters is recommended) to ensure the Master Password is strong enough for use and cannot be stolen.
