Autofill OTP for online accounts
First, you need to set up 2FA for your account or link your account with an existing OTP.
Autofill TOTP from Extension
From the Locker Extension, you can autofill TOTP along with login credentials for any website or service.
- Go to the website you would like to log in.
- Locker will autofill your login credentials. See more about login autofill from Extension.
- On the 2FA screen, Locker automatically detects the TOTP that has been already linked with your login and autofill it. You will be authenticated successfully. Below displays an example of authentication on GitHub.
If you have created the 2FA method for your account, but haven’t linked the TOTP with your login credentials, the code will not be automatically filled in.
In that case, you can click the Locker icon inside the TOTP input field, then browse to choose the correct TOTP for the website.
Autofill TOTP on mobile devices
From the Locker Mobile app, you can autofill TOTP along with login credentials for any website or app on your phone.
On iOS app
- Open the website or app you would like to log in.
- Tap the email input field, and tap the Locker suggestion appearing on the keyboard. Locker will autofill your login credentials.
- After you log in, the TOTP linked with your account will be saved in Clipboard.
- On the 2FA screen, tap and hold the TOTP input field for one second. You will see the Paste option appearing.
- Tap the Paste option to autofill the TOTP code from Clipboard. You will be authenticated successfully.
Note: The TOTP will be invalid after 30 seconds. After that, you may need to open the Locker app to get a new TOTP.
On Android app
- Open the website or app you would like to log in.
- Tap the email input field, and tap the Locker suggestion appearing on the keyboard. Locker will autofill your login credentials.
- After you log in, the TOTP linked with your account will be saved in Clipboard.
- On the 2FA page, tap the TOTP input field. you will see the TOTP code suggested on the keyboard.
- Tap the TOTP to autofill it to the input field. You will be authenticated successfully.
Note: The TOTP will be invalid after 30 seconds. After that, you may need to open the Locker app to get a new TOTP.
