Share passwords and other items securely with your friends and family members using Locker.

Why use Locker to share items?

Sharing confidential data in emails or texts is NOT secure at all, since the messaging and emailing service often transfer the plain text over the network without encrypting the data. This means your information can be leaked to third-party vendors.

Meanwhile, Locker uses the strongest encryption system to encrypt your data before sending it over the internet, ensuring maximum security for you.

On Web vault or Desktop app

Share Items

You have two ways to share your data with other Locker users.

From the Shares tab

1. Sign in to your Locker web vault.

2. Click Shares on the sidebar, then click the My shared items tab.

3. Click New share, then choose In-app shares.

1. Choose files or folders by clicking the Search Inventory list. You are able to share multiple items at once.

2. Add the email linked with the recipients’ Locker account, and choose how you want to share in the Permission section. You can always change the Permission settings later on.
• Viewable: The recipient can only view and use the password.
• Editable: The recipient can view, use, and edit the password.

3. Click Share.

From the item you want to share

1. Navigate to your web vault by clicking Inventory on the sidebar.

2. Click the Share button next to the item you want to share.

3. Add recipient emails and edit Permission.

4. Click Share.

Receive Shared Items

When any Locker user shares an item with you, you will receive a notification via email.

1. Open the email and click Log In To The Web Vault or sign in directly at Locker.io.

2. In your Locker vault, click Shares.

3. You will see the shared item and all related information such as its owner, type, updated time, status, and permission.

4. Click Accept or Decline.

When you accept the shared item, it will be automatically added to your vault.

On Mobile device

Share Items

Like in the web vault, there are two ways to share items with other Locker users via mobile devices.

From the Shares tab

1. Open the Locker mobile app.

2. Tap Browse > Shares > In-app Shares. Here you can see all the items you have shared.

1. Tap the Plus icon at the top-right corner.

2. Select the items you want to share. You can select multiple items at once. Click the Check icon if you want to share all items in the vault.

You can also create a new item to share directly by tapping the Plus icon again.

3. Tap the Share icon.

4. Enter the email linked with the recipients’ Locker account. The permission is automatically set as View. You can always change the Permission settings later on.

5. Tap Done.

From the item you want to share

If you want to share only one item:

1. Click the item and tap Share, then select In-app Shares. The permission is automatically set as View. You can always change the Permission settings later on.

2. Enter the email addresses of the recipient.

3. Tap Share.

If you want to share multiple items at a time:

1. Tap and hold one item until it is selected.

2. Tap to select other items you want to share or click the Check icon to select all.

3. Tap the Share icon.

4. Enter the email addresses of the recipient. The permission is automatically set as View. You can always change the Permission settings later on.

5. Tap Share.

Receive Shared Items

1. Open Locker.

2. Tap Browse > Shares > Shared with me.

3. You can see the shared item with a yellow Pending label. Tap the item.

4. Select Accept or Reject.
