Locker allows users to import data from Google Chrome into Locker. The steps in this guide are also applicable to any Chromium-based base browser, such as Microsoft Edge (Chromium), Opera, and Brave.
Export from Chrome
You can export Chrome data from a Desktop or Mobile browser.
Chrome on Desktop
Visit password.google.com
Open export settings
Click the gear icon in the right corner.
Select Export
Select Export in the Export passwords section. A small window will pop up to warn you that your passwords will be visible to anyone who can access the file, including apps. Keep the file to yourself only.
Click Export
Click Export.
Verify your identity
Enter the password for your Google account.
Download complete
The file will be automatically downloaded onto your computer in .csv format.
Chrome on Mobile
Visit password.google.com
Open export settings
Tap the gear icon in the right corner.
Tap Export Passwords
Tap Export Passwords.
Verify your identity
Verify your identity by entering your PIN or using biometrics.
Save the file
Specify a location to save or share your password export to.
Import to Locker
Web Vault
Open Locker
Open Locker on your browser.
Navigate to Import/Export
Select Settings > Import/Export.
Scroll to Import section
Scroll down to the Import section.
Select format
Select the format of the import file from the drop-down menu.
Upload the file
Click Choose File and upload the import file on your device, or paste the import file contents in the blank section below.
Your login credentials have been successfully imported from Chrome to the Locker vault.
Mobile Devices
Open Locker app
Open the Locker app.
Navigate to Import Data
Tap Menu > Settings > Import Data.
Select format
Tap Format to select the right format of your import file.
Select file
Tap Select File to upload the import file to the system.
After successful import, you should delete the data export file in your local storage to ensure your data is safe in case your computer or phone is compromised.
